The collection is about self expression, and independence.

The inspiration I took for my collection to convey these feelings is from the 90’s grunge that was all about self expression and being independent from the fashion industry.

Another inspiration for this collection was the zoot suits and for me they are also a way of self expression since it came from “weakened” groups in society. The elegance side of the zoot suites and the grunge rebellion style brings a really interesting result when combined.

In this collection I have used a combination of softer looking fabrics like, gabardine, jersey, denim and oxford that will contrast the “edginess” of the zoots and grunge in my eyes.

But to “support” it I am using more muted and traditional “masculine” colors. Part of the collection is ripped beacuse it is upcycled and it is not fixed in order give a more grungy and vintage look.
